The Oracle Business Intelligence Special Interest Group (OBI SIG)  was formed in 2007, at the request of both Oracle Corporation and the OAUG, to specifically focus on the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) platform and also Oracle Business Intelligence Analytic applications. The OBI SIG provides the Oracle BI User Community with knowledge, education and real-world experiences on all Oracle Business Intelligence technology, functionality and direction and vision for Business Intelligence.  

The OBI SIG meetings at OAUG Collaborate, Oracle OpenWorld, OAUG Connection Point EPM and various OAUG Geo group events around the country have been very well-attended and successful.  We feel this success is based on coordinating and scheduling the proper mix of customers, partners and Oracle Corporation presentations and our very popular BI Customer RoundTable Discussions.  The surveys and feedback we have received from these meetings, including input from the OAUG, Oracle Corporation, partners, and most importantly, the user community was extremely positive and complimentary.   

The OBI SIG BI Webinar series has also been very well-received and well-attended.  These webinars are presented in the same format as our OBI SIG meetings, which included BI industry experts from the BI partner community, product knowledge, experience and direction and vision from Oracle Corporation, and most importantly BI Customer Case Studies, enabling our members to hear how the user community was able to successfully drive value implementing and using Oracle Business Intelligence solutions. 

The OBI SIG’s ongoing program, “Striving for Excellence – Creating the WOW Factor” has earned us awards and recognition in the user group community, including the OAUG Certificate of Distinction.
